A good, regular cafe which serves daily lunchtime specials along with sandwiches, almost anything with chips, salads, cakes and drinks. My sausages mash and onion gravy was delicious and cost jusf £4. Every time I go there the place is almost full up. Fortunately, the other diners are very chatty, so there's no problem if you have to jokn a couple of people already eating. They close around 3pm like most of these types of cafe. I recommend this place if you want a hot drink and an all-day breakfast, a sandwich or just a down to earth meal such as cottage pie. They put a few tables outside which is great on a warm day. A welcoming, friendly cafe frequented by local people, often the older generation!

Good honest greasy spoon cafe food and good value money for your full belly, chatty hosts and cosy old school "family owned" atmosphere, none of your corporate sterile overpriced food here. Highly recommend a bacon and sausage sarnie for £3. Options like cottage pie and veg available too with your cuppa.

What a gem of a cafe! And it's refreshing to of found a non judgemental, super friendly and down to earth cafe since moving to Bristol. I really don't like these cost a fortune, stuck up sort of cafes with no fried bread or black pudding on the menu, but that's not Riley's. I've been visiting cafes like this since I was a kid, so it was nostalgic visiting here today and I felt at home. I didn't have any cash on me as I didn't know it was cash only, but the man behind the counter informed me that Poundland had a free cash machine (Which was great as I hate paying fees at an ATM!) and as I was walking out the door, I heard the guy say to my mum 'Do you want a cuppa tea love ?', instantly impressed! I drew out a tenner, returned to my mum who had a big mug of tea in hand and my 3 year old who had a can of Tango apple and a complementary candy cane. Double impressed! Our food and drinks came to a tenner exactly, and scanning the menu, they have a decent menu from hot and cold sandwiches to lasagne or cottage pie with chips. Long live Riley's and cafes of the similar style! I can't wait for my next shopping trip to Knowle so I can visit again
